Approximately 20+ million people are diagnosed with diabetes in the United States. Worldwide there are an estimated 110+ million diabetics, with countless others yet to be diagnosed. Frequent testing is important to all who have diabetes; it is of crucial importance to Type I diabetes patients. In the US alone, there are an estimated 1.8 to 2 million Type I diabetes patients.

Frequent testing has been proven to help reduce the instances of many of the other health complications that can arise from diabetes. Medicare and many HMO’s support frequent and accurate testing, as frequent testing is proven to reduce the long-term costs related to diabetes.
